Audioboo and iTunes – Write for a Wide Audience

Sharing Students’ Writing:

Have you ever looked for an innovative, and engaging way to share your students’ writing?  If so, look into using the Audioboo app or website combined with iTunes.  Using an Internet connected device, students are able to use the Audioboo app or web recorder to record their writing for publishing on the Audioboo website as a podcast.  The Audioboo website allows you to submit an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed to the iTunes library that will update automatically every time a student uploads a new file. So how do you do it?  Follow the steps below.

 

Audioboo - Teach AmazingSubmit an RSS Feed:

  1. Sign Up/Log In using a generic, class account (all students need to use the same account)
  2. Go to your profile page
  3. Right-click on the RSS icon (orange button) under your profile picture
  4. Open this link in iTunes to submit a podcast
  5. Paste the RSS feed
  6. If approved, your Boos should be posted within 24 hours!

 

Record and Publish:

  1. Sign up/Log In using a generic, class account (all students need to use the same account)
  2. Download the Audioboo app on an Internet-connected device, or use the Audioboo website
  3. Record sound file and publish
  4. Maximum time of 3 minutes recording unless you purchase an upgraded license
